School's out for Summer!

Well, for my kids anyway, but not for me! Yep, went back to school after a 19 year absence. With homework taking precedence over blogging, I hope you will forgive my absence from you!

New Opportunity

Have you ever had an idea which keeps rolling around in your head or
popping up in your dreams, each time seemingly more viable than the
next? Each time you dare to dream, the circumstances seem more
favorable and the stars are more aligned. Fate? Maybe. Destiny?
Probably.
My latest recurring dream/fantasy/nightmare is to open a store full of
my stuff. All kinds of stuff. The stuff I hunt for and love. This
idea has been kicking around for a while now....probably since
co-writing the cookbook (another post, another time).
Each time I move, seems like either my house, garage or out-building
is the perfect venue to set up shop....only there is always something
holding me back.
This time I may have found the trifecta of location, stuff and destiny.

Obama Mama

I am still in shock. What a thrill it was to watch with millions of
Americans, as this new president took the oath of office... and even
more thrilling to get a text from my 15-year-old daughter not 2
minutes later, proclaiming a simple, yet powerful "OBAMA!"
This feeling of renewal and call-to-action speaks to me and I am
listening. My desire to do-it-all is ALIVE and WELL!! Couple that
with the promise of the new year and the horomones of a 40-year-old
and I can't help but succeed.
